The Gonzaga Bulldogs are expected to hire former Vanderbilt Associate Head Coach Roger Powell Jr., Evan Daniels reported yesterday.

Jim Meehan confirmed the news yesterday as well. Powell will replace the outgoing Donny Daniels, who announced his retirement earlier this week. Like the consummate professional, Coach Daniels gave Mark Few plenty of time to find his replacement, informing Few of his intention to retire nearly two years ago.
