According to Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, senior wide receiver Michael Chigbu is considering retirement from football due to injuries. Chigbu had not been seen on the practice field for the Bulldogs for the last several open practice periods and Smart confirmed that Chigbu has been hurt.
"He's going through some injury things,” Smart said. “I don't know yet what he's doing. He may be thinking about hanging it up but he's not decided yet."
Chigbu has been, primarily, a reserve in his three seasons at Georgia. In 26 career games, the Americus, Georgia, product has caught 13 passes for 116 yards and no touchdowns.
