Sophomore linebacker Monty Rice mostly plays at the WILL position for Georgia. It is the same spot former Bulldog Roquan Smith started at for 15 games in 2017 as he led the team in tackles and captured the Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker.
Once could say Rice has much to live up to, but he doesn’t see it that way.
“He did his thing while he was here,” Rice said. “You know, I’m a whole different person from him, and I want to do my thing.”
The Georgia linebacker corps has been decimated of starters.
