Gayle Benson has had a busy first week in her new role.
The new Saints and Pelicans owner is overseeing her many business holdings while also planning the funeral of her late husband, Tom Benson, who passed away at the age of 90 last week, and is already getting involved with making decisions for both organizations.
After burying her husband on Thursday this week, she will be moving straight ahead into her new role as the owner of the New Orleans Saints by attending the NFL’s annual meeting in Orlando, which begins on Sunday. Gayle Benson sat in on a briefing Monday morning to prepare her for the gathering, which should be nothing new to her since she has been attending the event for several years in preparation for this day.
