At Georgia football’s pro day on Wednesday in Athens, Roquan Smith and other former Georgia linebackers participated in drills run by New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia.
Even working out under the direction of an NFL legend like Belichick, though, Smith was unfazed.
“I don’t get star struck,” Smith said. “When I’m in the drills, it’s just like, I’m out here to get work in regardless of what else is going on. My job is to get this work done and that’s just the end of it.”
Smith’s ability to stay calm on such a large stage should help him as he spends the next few months in the spotlight.
