The second of three Oakland Raiders first-round rookies, Josh Jacobs, had the trio's most impressive debut Monday night, turning his 40 snaps (of a possible 55) into 113 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 24 touches in a convincing win over the Denver Broncos.
It was the work-horse-like performance his owners and Raiders bosses hoped to see, showcasing mostly Jacobs' determined and dynamic running chops but also a nifty 28-yard catch-and-run and what appeared to be smooth sailing in pass pro.
Jacobs actually gets an easier matchup for his encore in the Kansas City Chiefs; the important part would be seeing Jacobs command north of 72 percent of the total RB work again in what's certain to be a heightened challenge for the Raiders 'D' going from Joe Flacco to Patrick Mahomes.
