I grew up in an era where the Cincinnati Bengals' Anthony Munoz was the gold standard at left tackle. I was young then and took it as gospel. I since have gone back and watched him — and he's just as good as he was advertised. Impossibly athletic and graceful for his size, Munoz also could knock your face off. He was the new paragon for the franchise left tackle in the 1980s.
I don't want to say I found this position to be easy to vote for because that simply wasn't the truth. But once I locked in Munoz — who rose to prominence in an era when pass rushers first became rock stars — the next three fell right in line.
