LSU plans to honor 20 seniors before Saturday’s game against Texas A&M, but one of them is expected to return for another year.
Safety Ed Paris, out for the season with a knee injury, should receive a medical redshirt and plans to return for his fifth-year of eligibility, coach Ed Orgeron said Monday. Paris is a career reserve player who had a more significant, rotational role this season before the injury.
“I think he's coming back,” Orgeron said. “I think he's going to have a medical redshirt.”
In the past, players have bypassed potential fifth and sixth years of eligibility to turn pro.
