Morgan went 10-2 with a 2.86 ERA last season and held the third-highest strikeout total in the nation after the conclusion of the West Coast Conference Championships.
He’s second all-time with a 21-5 record and .808 winning percentage at GU, and his 283 strikeouts over his three-year career puts him at third on Gonzaga’s career strikeouts list.
But earlier in the week, he felt relief knowing a team had finally drafted him, and in particular, one that has shown the ability to work well with young pitchers.
