Next up is the spring game for Wake Forest’s football team, rain or shine or anything else.
Coach Dave Clawson said the Deacons’ spring game, set to start at 3 p.m. Saturday at BB&T Field, will be played as scheduled regardless of weather. Snow was in the forecast earlier this week for Saturday, but that has changed to an 80 percent chance of rain, according to weather.com.
Teams were drafted Wednesday morning, before the Deacons’ 13th practice of the spring. The “general managers” for the teams were all seniors — defensive tackle Zeek Rodney and wide receiver Alex Bachman drafted one team, while center Ryan Anderson and safety Cameron Glenn drafted the other.
