Chicago Bears adding former Jaguars Pro Bowl WR Robinson

The Bears will make a big splash by signing former Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson when free agency officially begins at 3 p.m. (Chicago time) on Wednesday, according to multiple sources.

The deal, which was first reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, is expected to pay the 6-foot-3, 218-pound Robinson $42 million over three years, including $25 million guaranteed.

Robinson, who doesn’t turn 25 until August, is expected to provide Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky with the legitimate No. 1 wide receiver that he lacked last year in an up-and-down rookie season. The Bears finished last in the NFL in passing yards in 2017.
