Chandler Smith of Gonzaga women’s basketball and Josh Perkins of GU men’s basketball have both been selected as Division I-AAA Schools Athletes, announced by the DI-AAA Athletics Directors Association.
Basketball players from all Division I-AAA ADA member institutions are eligible for these awards, however they are required to maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale, have participated in a least 50 percent of the team’s games played and must have reached junior academic stating at their school.
Smith is in the midst of pursuing her master’s in business administration and currently holds a 3.
