The NFL is attempting to fix its "what is a catch?" issue, and the league will be considering some rule changes at the annual meeting next week.
NFL head of officials Al Riveron announced on Twitter that the NFL's competition committee will be recommending three key elements to help simplify the wording of the catch rule — control; two feet (or another body part) down inbounds; and what constitutes a football move.
Ah yes, fans of the old "football move" — after that lingo had been mostly scrubbed from "football lexicology," it's now back in our lives.
