Five Gonzaga baseball players were honored Tuesday afternoon when the West Coast Conference released its list of all-conference athletes.
Starting pitcher Daniel Bies, a redshirt junior, and closer Casey Legumina, a sophomore, both earned All-WCC First Team distinctions after their standout seasons.
Sophomore pitcher Mac Lardner and redshirt freshman third baseman Ernie Yake received All-WCC Second Team honors. In addition to being appointed the Second Team, Yake also joined fellow freshman Alek Jacob on the conference’s All-Freshman Team.
Bies, Lardner and Jacob made up the Bulldogs' starting rotation this spring and won a combined 18 games while touting a sub-three earned run average.
