Badgers tight ends working to replace big void left by Troy Fumagalli

The University of Wisconsin football team didn't lose much offensively from 2017, but the only regular starter who did depart may be one the Badgers find incredibly hard to replace.

Troy Fumagalli earned All-American honors from a number of outlets as a senior, but it wasn't all because of his team-leading 46 catches or 547 receiving yards. He lived up to the billing of a truly complete tight end during his final two years at UW - something every other Badgers player at that position continues aspiring to.

While the position remains deep with potential, there doesn't appear to be - at least for now - an apparent successor that can impact a game in every way Fumagalli did.
