Alabama football: Saban preaches effort, toughness after Tide’s sixth spring practice

Conviction. Discipline. Commitment. All these words fall under “The Process” at Alabama.

So do execution and toughness.

And it’s at that point in the spring where all of the above are really emphasized.

“We’re looking for players who can play to this standard,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said. “And we’re talking about intangibles here now; we’re not talking about ability. We’re talking about guys that will give effort, play with toughness (and) finish plays.”

See, there’s that toughness. Effort is another one, too.
