The No. 12 Gonzaga University men’s basketball team (7-0) took on the University of Maryland Terrapins (5-2) in Las Vegas on the second day of the Players Era Tournament. Following a statement victory over No. 8 Alabama the night before, GU kept its foot on the gas, blowing out the Terrapins 100-61 on Tuesday night.
The Zags entered this game needing a 14-point win to advance to the championship to play Michigan. The Terrapins were coming off a win against UNLV the night before.
GU got off to a hot start, jumping out to a 21-point lead by the eight-minute mark in the first half.
