It has been quite the five year journey at Gonzaga for redshirt senior point guard Josh Perkins. He has come from having a broken jaw and a high turnover percentage to becoming a vocal team leader and the all-time assists leader in GU history.
He passed the NBA’s all-time assists leader, John Stockton, as well as other Zag greats like Jeremy Pargo, Kevin Pangos and Matt Santangelo. After all, GU has been nicknamed, “Point Guard U,” and now, Perkins sits atop that list.
“What makes Josh special is that he has great vision, a great understanding of how to read ball screens and a great ability to deliver the ball on time to his teammates,” head coach Mark Few said.
