While the Bears spent most of Tuesday working out agreements with three new players expected to jump-start their impotent offense, they did not ignore the other side of the ball and one of their own.
Cornerback Prince Amukamara, who started 12 games last year for a Bears defense that was No. 7 in passing yards and No. 10 in total yards allowed, is expected to sign a three-year, $27-million deal to remain in Chicago, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.
Amukamara failed to intercept a pass in 2017, his first season with the Bears, but he was second on the team with seven pass breakups and seventh with 48 tackles.
