Wilson GC could be host course if L.A. wins 2024 Olympics bid

If the organizers of Los Angeles' bid for the 2024 Olympic Games have their wish, Wilson Golf Course will serve as the host golf course.

According to the LA2024 bid book, the owner of the public course and the city of Los Angeles have been in discussion with the LA2024 organizers to host the event. The budget for updates or changes to the golf course are set at $30 million with an additional $25 million for clubhouse construction.

Located in Griffith Park in the Hollywood area, Wilson Golf Club was originally designed by Tom Bendelow as a nine-hole course in 1914.
