The Web.com Tour Championship, the final event of the four-event Web.com Tour Finals, has been canceled because of expected inclement conditions associated with Hurricane Matthew. The event will not be rescheduled.
The PGA Tour informed players Wednesday of the cancellation of the event, which was to be held at Atlantic Beach Country Club in Atlantic Beach, Fla.
As of the latest advisory from the National Weather Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Hurricane Matthew has sustained winds of 120 mph. It is expected to approach the northeast coast of Florida as a major hurricane sometime Friday.
