Two Aussies atop leaderboard as Rd. 2 suspended

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Twenty years after Steve Elkington became the last Australian to win the PGA Championship it was only fitting on Friday that two Aussies found themselves tied atop the leaderboard at Whistling Straits.

Jason Day scorched the Straits Course Friday afternoon, making birdie at three of his first six holes and was at 9 under par when play was halted due to an approaching storm at 5:28 p.m. (CT).

Matt Jones was even better on Day 2, playing 12 bogey-free holes in 5 under to move into a share of the lead.
