Tiger Woods' first return to PGA Tour competition since his abbreviated appearance at the 2023 Masters has been cut short by illness.
Woods withdrew from the second day of the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
He was carted off the course seven holes into the second round.
Woods finished the first day of the competition tied for 57th among 70 competitors as he dealt with back spasms during the first 18 holes.
The event marked Woods' first PGA Tour competition since undergoing foot surgery in April 2023.
