Tiger Woods scrambles well at Muirfield despite wild tee game

DUBLIN, Ohio – Tiger Woods got all he could get out of his opening round at the Memorial Tournament, putting a 73 on the board to start the week. Woods, a five-time winner at Muirfield Village, struggled with all aspects of his game until he reached the putting surface and showed some glimpses of the old Tiger.

Woods’ day was a tale of two nines. Starting on No. 10, he opened with 40 but came back in 33, showing the ability to scramble a little better on the front. Still, Woods game off the tee was all over the map.
