Tiger Woods puts on late-afternoon show for Sedgefield patrons

GREENSBORO, N.C. – When Tiger Woods confirmed Monday that he would play at this week's Wyndham Championship, Zac Blair hatched a plan. The PGA Tour rookie awakened this morning while the sky was still dark, and arrived at Sedgefield Country Club at 5 a.m., in hopes of joining his childhood favorite for a practice round. Blair waited and waited but with no sign of Woods, he began playing as a single.

Turned out Blair teed off 12 hours too soon. Woods arrived on property about 2 p.m. and practiced through light rain drops before heading out with buddy Davis Love III for a supper-time treat for approximately 125 of his nearest and dearest friends from the Triad.
