Tiger Woods was involved in a single-car crash in Ranchos Palos Verdes, California.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department issued a statement saying Woods' car "sustained major damage" and that the "Jaws of Life" were required to get him out of the vehicle. He was then transported to a local hospital.

The 45-year-old was the only person in the car, and the accident is currently under investigation by authorities.
