The 2016 PGA Championship: Who needs it more?

SPRINGFIELD, N.J – “When you get to a certain level, if you don’t win a major, the year is going to be a letdown no matter how you look at it.”

The person who said that on Tuesday at Baltusrol Golf Club is not an analyst or media member, but a man who knows a thing or two about winning and losing majors: Phil Mickelson.

“Winning a major seems to make or break the entire year, no matter what you’ve done before or after, how many times you’ve won or not won, a major makes it a great year,” he finished.
