Storms suspend play with Day shooting for 59 at BMW

LAKE FOREST, ILL. – The good Lord would never disrupt the best round of Jason Day’s life.

Well, a bolt of lightning struck the Bishop Fred Pickering in “Caddyshack,” and a weather delay on Day’s final hole stalled his chase at 59 for another day. Rain was the only thing that could stop his brilliance during the first round of the BMW Championship at Conway Farms Golf Club. So far, Day has made nine birdies and an eagle to offset a lone bogey.

“It feels like a practice round, like it doesn't really matter,” said Day, who has won three of his last five starts.
