Stenson undergoes meniscus surgery

Henrik Stenson on Wednesday underwent surgery in Orlando, Fla., to repair an ailing meniscus.

Stenson had the surgery planned for weeks as he continued to finish out the rest of the 2015 calendar. Within the last month he posted two top-three finishes, tying for third at the BMW Masters and finishing runner-up last week in South Africa at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Stenson posted this image and message from the hospital on Twitter:

Operation is done and rehab starts tomorrow. Thanks for all you get well wishes! H pic.twitter.com/Yf9tcGRvQm

Stenson is not expected to miss any significant time and will likely start his season, as usual, during the European Tour's Middle East swing.
