ORLANDO, Fla. –– Henrik Stenson lives about 30 minutes from Bay Hill Club and Lodge, so one might think that the Swede makes the occasional trip to tee it up over at Arnie’s place on his off weeks.
Think again. The last time Stenson played Bay Hill prior to Wednesday’s pro-am?
“I haven’t been here since we put the pin in on Sunday last year,” said Stenson, who finished runner-up to Matt Every a year ago at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
That day, Stenson, playing in the final group, three-putted consecutive holes, at Nos. 15 and 16, and then missed a 22-footer for birdie at the 18th that would’ve forced a playoff.
