She knows that it was 3-11-3 heading into these matches and she knows that she hadn’t won anything in her previous seven matches. She went 0-2 in her first two matches this week at St. Leon-Rot Golf Club and the pressure mounted.
Stanford is playing in her sixth Solheim Cup. She’s lost matches in every way possible. For sure, she’s played poorly a lot and hasn’t managed to find one reliable partner that makes her feel comfortable. She’s also played some really good golf during that span and lost to opponents who have lit it up against her.
