Spieth working on making sure 2015 show isn't over

KAPALUA, Hawaii – For starters, Jordan Spieth doesn’t consider this season an encore to his epic 2015 campaign. He views it as a continuation of a year that was better than his wildest expectations.

“Doesn’t an encore mean that the show is over,” Spieth asked on Thursday at Kapalua. “I hope I’ve got like 40 years out here.”

“I’m not thinking of this as anything different. This is just – we’re just continuing – the month changed, the year changed. When you write the date, that’s about it in my mind.”

After each of the past couple seasons, Spieth has taken breaks of five and six weeks respectively to recharge and get ready for the next year.
