Spieth grouped with Lahiri to open Hero title defense

ALBANY, Bahamas – Jordan Spieth’s title defense at the Hero World Challenge will begin at 11:25 a.m. ET on Thursday. Spieth will be paired alongside Anirban Lahiri, the first India-born player to compete in the event.

The tournament is comprised of 18 players, ranging for world No. 1 Spieth to No. 43. Bill Haas. After one year at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla., where Spieth won by 10 strokes, the event has moved to the Albany Championship Golf Course at a luxury resort community in the Bahamas.

The Tiger Woods Foundation is the primary benefactor of the event, but the host will not be competing after recovering from two back surgeries over the last two-and-a-half months.
