ENDICOTT, N.Y. (AP) -- Scott Dunlap shot an 8-under-par 64 on Friday to take the first-round lead at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.
Dunlap began the round with a bogey at No. 1, then rallied with four birdies in a five-hole span before the turn at En-Joie Golf Club and reeled off five straight birdies to start the back nine. He leads Glen Day, Bart Bryant, and John Riegger, who were tied for second at 66.
Gibby Gilbert III, Kevin Sutherland, Paul Goydos and Joe Durant were another shot back in a tie for fifth.
