Over the last few years, Justin Rose has been wise enough to seek out Brad Faxon for some putting tips.
Monday, the student showed the teacher that he’s learned well. Exceedingly well, in fact.
Rose, ranked seventh in the Official World Golf Ranking, put up a blistering 9-under 63 at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Fla., to lead he and Seth Waugh to victory in the annual pro-member tournament.
Rose and Waugh played alongside Faxon and his partner, Tom Ryan.
“It was fun to watch,” Waugh said. “He always hits it great, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him putt that beautifully.
