Role Reversal: Bradley soars while Spieth struggles mightily at Innisbrook

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Keegan Bradley has played in the last two Ryder Cups, won a PGA Championship, and is in the midst of a maddening stretch of play during which he has tumbled all the way to 88th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Golf has been a puzzle of late that he simply cannot solve.

Jordan Spieth, World No. 1, has been the young Midas of golf. Everything he touches turns to a birdie, and eventually to gold. As in trophies. He is here at the Valspar Championship as the tournament's defending champion.

But on Thursday at Innisbrook’s difficult Copperhead Course, the two were headed in different directions.
