CARMEL, Ind. – The chance to win a major might be gone, but Adam Scott is trying to maximize whatever is left of his season.
A two-time winner this year, he tied for fourth in the first two playoff events and is in good position through 54 holes at the BMW Championship. Two consecutive birdies to close gave Scott a third-round 67 and pushed him into a tie for fifth, seven shots behind Dustin Johnson.
“I’m trying to make the most of playing great this year,” he said. “I’ve hit the ball really well and through the summer and the major season, but I just didn’t putt good enough.
