Katie Tahara, the AJGA's director of major championships, was selected July 21 to serve as the assistant captain for the 2015 U.S. Junior Solheim Cup team. Tahara will be the right-hand woman for captain JoAnne Carner, an LPGA Hall of Famer.
Tahara has worked with the AJGA for seven years and was the tournament director for the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup in Englewood, Colo., where she was able to oversee all the details that go into running a major junior event. She has also been the assistant captain of the Wyndham Cup's East Team for the past two years.
