Punishing start sends Koepka, Bradley home; Snedeker collapses

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Surprising was the early departure of Jordan Spieth, but that came much later Friday afternoon. What happened much earlier in Round 2 of The Players Championship was intriguing stuff in regards to the cut, from spirited rushes by Brooks Koepka and Keegan Bradley that fell just shy to Brandt Snedeker’s stunning collapse.

And on the positive side, there was Graeme McDowell, who looks at his annual schedule, sees the Players, “and this one pops off the page,” he said. That’s because he feels the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass suits his game – it demands accuracy and patience, his strengths.
