Policy board discusses 2016's jumbled schedule

GAINESVILLE, Va. – The PGA Tour policy board met on Monday at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club and one of the talking points centered around next year’s hectic schedule.

The 2015-16 schedule has not been released - primarily because of next year’s Olympic Games in Brazil, which has required officials to do some dramatic rearranging - although sources say it could be published as early as this week.

While the schedule through the U.S. Open remains largely the same, various sources have confirmed to GolfChannel.com that the back half of the line up will have a much different look, including an adjustment of the year’s majors, with the Open Championship played just two weeks before the PGA Championship in July.
