LANCASTER, Pa. – In Gee Chun’s swing coach nicknamed her “Dumbo” because she has some kind of supersonic hearing. In South Korea, her fan club, “The Flying Dumbos,” wear yellow caps with “Dumbo” scripted across the front. Perhaps if Chun listened closely enough, she could hear those South Korean fans cheering early Monday morning all the way over in Amish country.
“I still don't realize that I won the championship,” the delightful Chun told the media through an interpreter.
The record crowds at Lancaster Country Club, spectacular all week, were treated to the back-nine theatrics this championship deserved.
