PGA Tour winners flame out in Web.com Tour Q-School process

Tough business, this pro golf. Proof of that is everywhere, most recently at three different Web.com Tour Q-School second-stage sites.

In an attempt to secure playing status somewhere, former PGA Tour winners came up empty in a bid to advance in the Q-School process to gain a Web.com Tour card for 2016. Arjun Atwal, Heath Slocum, Parker McLachlin, Mark Hensby and Shaun Micheel all fell short and the best status they are left with is within the past champion’s category on the PGA Tour.

Former Tour winner and onetime U.S. Amateur champion David Gossett was another who fell short at second stage.
