Confidence is a choice. If that sounds like New Age psychobabble spouted by Dr. Phil on daytime TV, well, Patton Kizzire isn’t making excuses for his mantra.
“Self-talk works,” he said.
Which is why as a daily reminder, the 29-year-old PGA Tour rookie has Scotch-taped portions of two 3-by-5 index cards to the lower-left corner of his bathroom mirror. On the top card, Kizzire scribbled simply, “The line between where I am and where I want to be is separated only by my actions.
