Brooks Koepka has made his name on the PGA Tour as a young bomber who can make birdies in bunches and reach almost any par 5 in two.
But at the FedEx St. Jude Classic he's showing some restraint and it's paying off through 36 holes at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tenn.
"We're trying a new strategy the past few days: being patient, less aggressive and hitting the center of greens," said Koepka, who's 25. "I played pretty solid today … struggled with speed control and had some putts burn off the edges.
