Pampling's mom makes first ace at age 72

Rod Pampling won for the first time in nine years earlier this year on the Web.com Tour, but it was his 72-year-old mother who had a breakthrough of sorts Thursday in Australia.

Marge Pampling recorded her first hole-in-one on the eighth hole at Caboolture Golf Club. Her friend, providing the color commentary on the video, might be even more excited about the feat.

Rod shared the clip on Twitter, with the caption: “What a legend, 1st hole in one at age 72. Congrats mum. Finally listened to me.”

Pampling, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, won the Web.
