Nicklaus praises Spieth as 'smart, calm, collected'

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Jack Nicklaus says he would love to see Jordan Spieth play the Honda Classic, but he says he doesn’t pressure players to come to the event.

Nicklaus lives six miles from PGA National and his children’s foundation is a beneficiary of the event.

Nicklaus says he likes Spieth’s game.

“I think he’s a very savvy, smart, calm, collected kid who thinks his way around the golf course,” Nicklaus said. “He is not the most spectacular striker of the golf ball or anything, but he has a very solid golf swing.
