Stanford junior Maverick McNealy and Florida freshman Sam Horsfield topped the U.S. and European Arnold Palmer Cup rankings, respectively, on Thursday.
The rankings were the second of the spring for the 2016 event at Formby (England) Golf Club on June 24-26.
The top six golfers from each ranking, as of April 15, will be among the 10 players selected to each team. Using Golfstat’s NCAA Player Ranking as a base, the Palmer Cup Ranking awards bonus points for wins and high finishes, and a negative bonus for poor finishes. The ranking also contains a strength of schedule component.
