Rory McIlroy debuted a limited-edition version of the Nike Lunar Control 3 golf shoe Monday at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
The shoe, which became available today on Nike.com and costs $170, aims to be "disruptive," according to James Arizumi, Nike Golf's design director of footwear, in that it features the Nike Swoosh "on top of the shoe in the toe area, instead of on the side." The Swoosh appears in metallic silver and is set against a bright orange and white upper.
Other features include Flywire technology for lateral support, a carbon fiber midfoot shank that offers lightweight stability, and full-length Lunarlon foam in the midsole that provides lightweight and responsive cushioning.
