NAPA, Calif. -- A new season begins for the PGA Tour just 18 days after the last one ended, but Rory McIlroy has a different way of looking at a situation that has him also in the midst of the on-going European Tour schedule.
The "season'' actually began for him at the PGA Championship following a break due to injury.
"Coming back at the PGA for me was a start of a new season anyway,'' McIlroy said Wednesday at Silverado Resort, where the Frys.com Open kicks off the 2015-16 season on Thursday. "This is sort of a continuation of that.
