The final official PGA Tour event of 2015 will tee off with a new name.
What has been known since its inception as the McGladrey Classic will now be called the RSM Classic, a nod to McGladrey's new global brand name. The company, which provides auditing, tax and consulting services, will change names effective Oct. 26, in time for this year's tournament. The sponsor name change was confirmed Monday during the tournament's media day.
The St. Simons Island, Ga.-based event has been on the PGA Tour schedule since 2010 and its past winners include Heath Slocum, Ben Crane, Tommy Gainey and Chris Kirk.
